Visit of a worldtour star: Jan Hirt conquered Zlín

The visit of one of the stars of the Belgian world tour team Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert Jan Hirt was a great success! In addition to a tour of the administrative, production and warehouse facilities of the FORCE cycling range, there was a press conference as well as an organized bike ride for fans. And we dare say there will be a lot to remember...

Understated, underrated... This is also how the Belgian world tour team Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert was described a few years ago. But now they are experiencing unprecedented fame and gaining success after success. The bet on uncertainty has paid off perfectly. Together with Czech rider Jan Hirt, the team made an unforgettable mark in this year's 2022 Giro d'Italia, in which the Czech rider dominated one of the two most difficult stages. The unprecedented success is also behind the increased interest in FORCE cycling equipment, which is increasingly gaining popularity among professional riders.

It wouldn't be the same without the support of the fans!

Achieving and enjoying great results would not be possible without the support of the fans. That's why we decided that in addition to a formal introduction and tour of the company, we would organize an organized ride. The aim was to offer fans and the general public the opportunity to ride with a professional rider who has reached the highest podium on the Grand Tour this year. "It's the first time I'm doing an organized ride for a sponsor and it's also a great opportunity to ride with people who normally only cheer for us on TV. The questions and answers at the conferences are always similar, this is a unique experience," says Czech rider Jan Hirt, who until recently was thinking of ending his career, but this season has put a damper on his plans...thankfully.

YOU MAY NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT JANU HIRT:

● He used to play hockey and started cycling when he was 14 years old.

● Two things led him to cycling: riding with his brother and watching world tour races.

● He has a bright future for the next 2 years, but for now, it's a secret.

● He won the 16th stage of the Giro despite a loose rear wheel at the end of the stage.

● His cycling plans this year include competing in the Czech National Road Race Championships, the Sázka Tour, the Vuelta and hopefully the World Championships in Australia.

● He cycles up to about 32,000 km a year and about 12,000 of those are sharp racing km.

● He likes pork knuckle and ribs, but only outside of a training rhythm.
