The last Grand Tour of this year is behind us and we were part of it again after a year through the Intermarché Wanty Gobert Matériaux team. Although this year the team did not manage to repeat the success of last year and get the red jersey, they could record several partial successes.
Undoubtedly the biggest achievement is the victory of Louis Meintjes in the 9th stage, where Louis worked most of the stage in a breakaway, from which he later managed to break away and take this triumph with an incredible one-minute lead. A day earlier in the 8th stage, Rein TAARAMÄE also scored excellently, with 3rd place in the challenging mountain stage. In the overall ranking, the above-mentioned Louis Meintjes performed best with an excellent 11th place with minimal loss to the TOP 10.
In the demanding conditions of the Spanish climate, riders mostly chose the LYNX helmet model, which is excellently ventilated and can thus bring additional comfort in warm conditions. Of course, the more aerodynamic model of the ORCA helmet also found its supporters, especially in flat stages. From the range of glasses, drivers preferred the AMBIENT model, but also the new DRIFT model with polarized lenses.
