Did someone say gravel?

Gravel cycling is like an exciting leap into the world of adventure on two wheels. You leave the smooth asphalt roads behind and open the door to the wild outdoors. Gravel paths, forest tracks and country roads are your playground. You can explore uncharted routes or go where your heart takes you. And what shouldn't be missing in your gravel kit?

BAGS

If you're planning an overnight stay on your bike, you'll need a reliable bag to pack everything you need. Our collection of ADVENTURE bags is designed specifically for bikepacking. Put them under your saddle, on your frame or on your handlebars and you're ready to go. They have durable material and strong straps.

CLOTHES

Since you can navigate different terrains on the gravel, it's up to you what clothes you choose. Tight or loose, it's up to your preference.Whether you're a road cyclist, biker, hobby cyclist or bikepacker, you won't need to buy special gravel clothes, just pick the ones you like from your collection.

CYCLING SHOES

Since you can also encounter various obstacles on your gravel bike, you will definitely need a pair of shoes in which you can walk at least a bit. So choose those that are designed specifically for gravel, but you can't go wrong with MTB (try the REVOLT model) or hiking cycling shoes. Our VIRTUOSO and PHANTOM gravel cycling shoes have a special outsole that includes a low platform and rubber studs for perfect grip.

TOOLS

Anything can happen on the road, so it's not a bad thing to be like a scout: always prepared! Don't forget to take a multikey, spare inner tube, tyre levers and if you are a fan of tubeless, don't forget plug-strings. Throw in an inflator, or a PIKADO 2.0 kit, which is an inflator combined with a tubeless repair set. And since it's often off-road riding and can damage the chain, add a chain link.

And where to go for a gravel ride?

In August, we tested the Scottish terrain, which offers both deserted roads winding through breathtaking landscapes full of rivers and dramatic mountains, and more challenging terrain where a proper bike would be more suitable than a gravel bike. But there are plenty of gravel roads where you'll appreciate having a gravel bike with you.
